A trip to Huddersfield was called for recently to meet up  the artist  Chris Frogget of Atomic Highboy fame.

To work on his  race car.

Chris's 64 Belvedere had recently been finished and he needed it lettered in period style - as I am not a sign writer this was  a fun challenge for me!   Chris had managed to download a lot of reference material for me to work with.  This always helps. 

The end result was a perfect "home grown racer" covered in period lettering & signage.

My thanks to Chris &  Bev for their hospitality for the 3 days I spent with them.

Chris intends to race this car this year - watch out for it at Shakespeare County raceway. 

The car currently runs a 318 and he may even go bigger!
